Edward "Ted" Lomicka

Ted Lomicka is a 56-year-old American healthcare executive (Vice President, Strategic Analytics at Community Health Systems), a professor; endurance triathlete and open water swimmer from Franklin, Tennessee.

Among his many feats, he has completed nine 18.4 km circumnavigation swims around Key West, Florida and 35 Ironman triathlons. In February 2026, he became just the second person to complete the Triple Maui Nui -- a non-stop, three channel swim in Hawaii where he spent nearly 24 hours in the water.

Ted is also the first person to complete the set of five Anvil distance races in the Mammoth Series. He is currently writing a book from the lessons learned in Ultra which is titled : First to Five: The Five Hammers of a Do Anything Mindset.
